Wedding stationary...

From the first ‘save the date’ announcement, to your thank you cards, your choice of stationary says a lot about you, and you want it to fit in with the theme of your wedding.
‘Save the date’… Announce the date of your wedding well in advance of sending out your invitations especially if your wedding is to be on a weekday or when people are likely to be away on holiday. These may be sent out a year or more in advance.

Wedding Day invitations…Sent out by the hosts of the wedding, invitations include details of the date, time and venue of the ceremony and reception and give a reply address. Order a few extra for souvenirs, in case of mistakes or to cater for changes in your guest list.

Evening invitations…Matching evening invitations are sent out at the same time as the day invitations so that guests will understand to which part of the celebration they are invited.

Reply cards…Printed reply cards allow your guests to let you know if they will be able to attend. Include envelopes with your reply address printed on the front.

Orders of service…Allow guests to follow your wedding ceremony by providing orders of service, which include the prayers and hymns you have chosen. Provide one per guest and extra copies for the clergy and the choir.

Menus…Menu cards provide your guests with a list of the wedding fayre and can include the toasts. Choose a menu to match your wedding stationary.

Place cards…Traditionally used to indicate where each guest should be seated at the reception.

Thank you cards…Printed or blank thank you cards allow you to thank your guests for sharing your day and for their gifts. Remember to order extra for people who send gifts but don’t attend the wedding.
