Suzanne Harley

Hi, I am Suzanne Harley. I started singing and dancing at a very young age, I followed in my big sister’s footsteps and started at the Sarah Durrant School of Ballet.

While taking dance lessons I also auditioned, and was accepted for, the Cheshire School Choir appearing in many performances including Noyer’s Fludd at Chester Cathedral. I was then lucky enough to gain a place at Elmhurst Ballet School at just thirteen years of age. I learned all aspects of dance, acting and particularly excelled at singing. I appeared in several productions at Elmhurst Theatre.

After Elmhurst I appeared in various Theatre shows as lead parts, such as Bebe in Chorus Line. I then went on to do Television appearances including: Cold Feet, At Home with the Braithwaites, Always and Everyone, Brookside and Hollyoaks.

Returning to my first love of singing I auditioned successfully for a girl band – Envy. It was a unique group; three girls from different cultural backgrounds – an exciting new sound: R n B/Pop with a blend of Oriental, Asian and Western lyrics and sounds. We performed at Sound in Leicester Square and at In the City at Manchester. Although we developed a large fan base we were not as successful as we had dreamed. I then went on to pursue a solo career and succeeded in winning a competition at Buzz Radio, which resulted in a Radio appearance, Magazine article and a paid gig at one of the Wirral’s trendiest bars. I also reached the regional finals of Open Mic UK.

I was introduced to my current singing teacher, Debbie Richards who discovered the voice that, deep down, I always knew I had – my classical voice. We started working on various vocal exercises with Italian language and I instantly took to it – like a duck does to water! I have never been so determined to become a World Class recording artiste in the genre in which I feel most at home.
